Copyright Policy
EurBear Copyright Agreement
1. Publication Rights
Harington requires specific publication rights to publish and distribute articles. These rights are defined through a publication agreement between the author and Harington. Our copyright policy is adapted from Elsevier's copyright agreements and the University of Michigan's example author-copyright-holder licenses. The parties have agreed to the following terms in exchange for valuable consideration.
2. Publication and Copying Rights
Harington grants permission for part or all of its publications to be copied for personal or classroom use, as long as the copies are not distributed for profit or direct commercial advantage. The copies must display the copyright notice, including the author's name, and be properly attributed on the first page or screen. Third-party copyright considerations outside Harington must be respected. Summarization is allowed with citation.
3. Author's Rights
The author retains the right to republish, submit to servers, redistribute, and use any component of the work in other works. For others to perform these actions, prior special permission and/or fees are required. Permission can be requested from the Harington Office.
4. Open Access and Licensing
As articles are published open access, authors license the exclusive rights of their articles to Harington. By agreeing to this policy, authors grant Harington the rights to disseminate and promote their work across all media, in all languages (including English, Turkish), and in any future media formats that may be developed.
5. Author's Grant of Rights
The author grants Harington an irrevocable, non-exclusive right to reproduce, republish, and distribute the work in all languages (including English, Turkish, and Kurdish) and through all known or future media formats.
6. Author's Responsibilities
The Corresponding Author agrees to cite Harington as the original publisher when the work is distributed or republished. The Corresponding Author also agrees to notify Harington of any changes to their contact
information.
7. Author's Warranty
The author warrants that the work is entirely their original creation and does not violate the rights of any third party, particularly defamation, literary or proprietary rights, or intellectual property. The Corresponding Author also guarantees they have full authority to sign this agreement and will inform co-authors about the terms of this agreement. The Corresponding Author agrees to indemnify Harington against any violations of these warranties.
8. Harington's Responsibilities
In exchange for the rights granted by the author, Harington agrees to publish the work and attribute it to the author.
9. Entire Agreement
This agreement reflects the entire understanding between the parties. Any changes to this agreement can only be made in writing through an addendum signed by both parties.
